Privacy Policy of the Flora Box App
Android App permissions
The Flora Box app requires the following permissions:
- Have full network access / view network connections
- Google Play billing service
- Run foreground service
The purpose of these permissions is explained below.
Have full network access / view network connections
The Flora Box app is provided without plant images. As soon as the user chooses plants to learn, the corresponding images are loaded from the Flora Box web server and saved on the device. An internet connection is required to download these images. From this point on, these images are available for offline-learning.
On request, a high-resolution image can be displayed using the zoom button. This image is always loaded directly from the Flora Box web server and displayed in a web browser window.
The app contains links to other internet sites. We are not responsible for the content of these pages. Contents of these pages can change without our knowledge.
Google Play billing service
A one-time In-App purchase activates the upgrade to the full version (pro version) of the database.
Run foreground service
Starting with Flora Box version 12, we have introduced the Google Play In-App Review API. It is used to rate the app for the Play Store without leaving the app.
Data
The images are stored on the External Storage in the app private data area.
Data generated by using the app is stored in the Internal Storage. This includes, for example, flashcards, learning progress, notes, lists and settings.
The creators of the Flora Box app do not have access to this data.
When the app is uninstalled, this data is deleted.
Manual backup options / backup options are not implemented in Flora Box. In case of a reinstallation the data will be lost.
